VICE PRESIDENT, EDUCATION  The Board of Pensions of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) is a not-for-profit corporation and one of six national agencies of the General Assembly, the governing body for the PC(USA), which is the largest Presbyterian denomination. The agency administers the church Benefits Plan and Assistance Program, provides educational opportunities, and manages assets of more than $8 billion. This is an exciting time at the Board of Pensions, as its programs are being reconfigured as part of a holistic strategy for engaging the Church. This coincides with changes in denominational demographics that make support of pastors and organizational agility more important than ever. The Vice President, Education is responsible for developing and implementing an educational strategy that is faithful to the Board’s Theology of Benefits and responsive to the needs of the Church. Working with senior leadership and others, this individual will lead the re-envisioning of the Board’s educational programs. The Vice President, Education will create a thematic vision for two important areas of work, Presbyterian CREDO and Board University. The vision will reflect the Board’s emphasis on God’s desire that all experience health and wholeness and its commitment to serve better and serve the Church by supporting congregations and mid councils and engaging with decision makers and administrators. To ensure such support is provided as we seek to grow and serve more church workers, the vision must take into account various church constituencies, including Benefits Plan members. To view complete details and requirements, please visit pensions.org and click on Employment Opportunities. If you would like to contribute your creative energy and high-quality work to support our mission of serving those who serve the Church, please send your resume, in complete confidence, with a cover letter indicating your salary history and requirements by July 1, 2016 to: resumes@pensions.org or by post to Claire Anastase, Human Resources Generalist, The Board of Pensions of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.), 2000 Market Street, Philadelphia, PA 19103. SENIOR PASTOR/HEAD OF STAFF  Laguna Niguel Presbyterian Church (LNPC) is looking for a Senior Pastor/Head of Staff. Laguna Niguel is an idyllic California coastal community in South Orange County which is located between Los Angeles and San Diego. We have recently completed the New Beginnings Assessment and Mission Study and are looking for a Senior Pastor to lead us toward a Mission Redefinition. Per our Mission Study, we have to embrace change and establish a new way of being a church. In today’s fast evolving world being open to change is a necessity in almost all parts of our lives. LNPC has the resources and talent to become a missional church as our congregation is comprised of people with both the passion and initiative to support a number of mission programs locally. We are looking for a leader to be the face and the voice of the church as we move forward per our Mission Study. The pastor we select will be able to deliver inspirational sermons, be comfortable with the challenges of change, have the ability to work with our staff and congregation to clearly develop and refine our vision, and possess the organizational skills to pull people together to turn our vision into clear, actionable steps that lead to fulfillment in our community. Vision and mission are great words but they are not powerful until people are motivated and committed to achieve the goals that support them. We are looking for a pastor to lead us in achieving these goals which will make our vision and mission a reality. To learn more about our church please go to lnpc.org and to apply please submit your PIF through the CLC and reference MIF #11098.ABO.
