Presbyterian Resource Guide for Ministry
Top 14 ways the Presbyterian Mission Agency can help
Why we’re part of a connected church with international resources and relationships
Faith in action. We’re here to help you find the particular calling God has placed on your life. Maybe you’ll devote a year to service by becoming a Young Adult Volunteer, travel to the United Nations to help set global standards for gender equality, begin a ministry with veterans, or start a community garden.
Worship. Whether you’re looking for a daily devotional app, the new Presbyterian hymnal, or creative worship ideas, you’re sure to find what you need.
Evangelism. It’s tough to know how to witness to the gospel in the 21st century. For help, watch the video series Engage, visit whatsnextwhatsnow.org for young adult ministry ideas, connect with UKirk for college ministry opportunities, and find ways at onethousandone.org to plant new worshiping communities.
Global mission. Mission workers around the world are ready to help you and your congregation connect with global partners, improve mission practices, or even just get started.
Social justice. There are lots of ways for you to stand with the vulnerable and oppressed of God’s children. Maybe you’ll partner with farmworkers to demand a living wage, take on gun violence in your community, travel the world with the Peacemaking Program, or advocate for racial justice.
Money. Whether you’re a student in need of financial help, a pastor looking to start a new worshiping community, a church worker in need, or a ministry devoted to the poor and oppressed, we’ve got you covered.
Congregational support. Support offices are available to a variety of racial-ethnic congregations. Alternatively, if your congregation could use a boost, we’ll partner with you through New Beginnings to envision a new future and come up with a strategy to make it happen.
Diversity. Through resources, training opportunities, and expert consultants, we’ll help your community become more intercultural, combat racism, support women and people of color in leadership roles, and be more welcoming, including to people living with disabilities.
Camps and retreats. Looking for a peaceful getaway, a traveling day camp, a summer program for kids and youth, a spiritual experience outdoors, or a family camp? With more than 140 camps and retreat centers, you can have your pick.
Education. Discover new opportunities to grow, learn, and deepen your faith at a Presbyterian-related college, seminary, conference, or training. Looking for something a little closer to home? Not a problem. Congregational Ministries Publishing offers a wide range of Christian education curricula for your church classroom and beyond.
Earth care. We can help you “green” your church’s building, worship, and outreach. As eco-stewards, young adults will get a chance to practice earth care while working at summer camps or organic farms. We can also hook you up with fair-trade coffee, sustainable palm branches, and sweat-free T-shirts.
Ministry support. Through networks like Company of New Pastors and the Presbyterian Health Network, we take care of the caretakers.
