Opportunities to grow
Job postings
The Presbyterian Mission Agency provides staff members the opportunity to indicate their interest in open positions and advance within the organization according to their skills and experience. In general, notices of all regular, full-time and part-time job openings are posted although Presbyterian Mission reserves its discretionary right to not post a particular opening.
Study leave
The purpose of study leave is to provide a time for intensive education or training that will enhance an exempt staff member’s work-related mission in the “broad sense” by providing an opportunity to renew and refresh the mind and spirit through the pursuit of life long education. Activities related to study leave may include enrolling in an extended course and/or conference or conducting independent study.
Staff development
Staff development through training, continuing education and professional development programs is encouraged and supported. These programs afford staff members the opportunity to acquire new skills and knowledge and to refresh current skills consonant with the needs of the employer and with their own career goals and objectives. Staff development is available for regular part-time and full-time staff members.
Cross-functional collaboration
Project Management methodology is used to promote efficient, team-based approaches toward solutions while ensuring representation from the various areas of work. This method encourages innovative problem-solving and builds collaboration.
