SDOP has helped with repairs on the green house (shown above). The group bought new poles to hold up the screen and painted them with a special insect repelling paint. They purchased new netting, watering cans, a water pump, seeds, and other materials. Planting, educational workshops and reforesting the wetlands is in full swing around their community. When the second payment arrives, they will use it for a sprinkler system and fencing to keep the animals out of the green house.

Now when people can’t afford medicine, they have natural methods to help their families. We are also preserving our natural wetlands to ensure that these plants continue to grow in their natural habitat for years to come, and we are educating our community about the importance and the beauty of our native plants.”
