Women Association (AMUTEC)
This federation is 16 years old and has more than 1,000 members.
They currently sell everything from furniture to jewelry, curtains to household decorations, and communion sets to woven baskets. This is truly a model project for Ce-Mujer. The women are frequently called upon to teach classes to other groups on topics ranging from woodworking to accounting. They have a heart for community service and 6 of the women recently helped build pews for a church in a very impoverished neighborhood at cost.
