The National Council of Churches of Korea has called on churches around the world to join them in praying for peace and reconciliation on the Korean peninsula. They joined together with the Korean Christian Federation, which represents Christians in North Korea, to write a Joint Prayer for the Peaceful Reunification of the Korean Peninsula. Read more.

While most Koreans are followers of Buddhism or a traditional religion, the country’s Christian faith goes back 220 years, to the beginning of the Catholic mission in Korea. The Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) itself celebrates over a century of ministry in Korea The PC(USA) involvement in Korea is through the Presbyterian Church of Korea, the Presbyterian Church in the Republic of Korea, and the National Council of Churches in Korea.
The PC(USA) works in this northeast Asia nation through mission personnel and our partner church relationships. The PC(USA) joins Korea's Christian community in a ministry that includes higher education and youth ministries, theological education, health ministries, women's and children's ministries, and peace education, reconciliation and reunification work
