A letter from Nadia Ayoub in Ukraine

June 2013

Dear Friends and Family

I greet you all in the wonderful name of our Lord Jesus Christ. I continue with all confidence to give thanks to God for all of his marvelous deeds with me and among the Roma people.

I thank God for good news, but rather challenging news too. Many of you prayed for the registration of the house for the Roma Mission Center; we thank God that in June 2013 we received the registration document for the house, and we need to work hard to get the land registration soon. But with this good news comes the challenge to do the renovation, which is not a sure matter for many reasons—the rainy weather, the material availability in the market, and then the workers. I have been told, Lord willing, by September the house will be ready for use. I pray and trust God it will be so.

Also many have prayed for parents to trust and allow their children to go with us to the Christian summer camp for five days, at the beautiful campsite in Csonkapopi, Karpatalja. From more than 40 children in both Roma camps, we were hoping that even 10 children would come. Thank God, 6 children came to the camp, and they have had a very good time. They went home safe and with great joy to tell others about the camp time. We pray and trust others will allow their children to go in the future.

I have a lot of hope and dreams for the Roma Mission House. I pray that with God’s approval and blessings we can have first a prayer room, where I trust God will raise a local pastor to care for the Roma people in the area and to conduct Bible study, prayer meetings, women meetings and youth activities.  During the morning time we will have a program for preschool children to prepare them for the state kindergarten. Then I pray we will have some training for older boys and girls, car repair, sewing, cooking, housekeeping and some skills that might help them in life.

Thanksgiving prayers;

1-    Thank God for about two years of ministry among the Roma in the Peterfolvo area

2-    Thank God for some friendships established between the Roma and the church people

3-    Thank God for the house for the Roma mission

Prayer requests;

1-    That God will send a pastor for the Roma congregation in the Nagy Solo area

2-    That God will send laborers for the work and financial needs for the renovation and furniture for the house

3-    Prayer for the Roma people to be encouraged and hear God calling them to come and be saved and become true brothers and sisters in God’s family by faith in the Lord Jesus Christ

4-    My visa continues to be challenging with all the new regulations and many documents to prepare, and also at this time we have many national holidays, so I lose time. Please pray that I get my forms in in time and do not need to leave Ukraine for a short time and come back with a 90-day tourist visa.

It is true nothing is impossible, for our God is able to do much more than we ask or think through His power working in us. May we see His shining greatness in the church. May all people all the time honor Christ Jesus. Amen (Ephesians 3:20, 21).

I pray this short report will give some idea about the work and the help the Roma community needs, and I pray I will be able to help in this great mission. Thank you so much for participating in this great work by your prayers and financial support. I pray God bless you all.

In Christ
