About Paul Friesen
Paul was originally appointed to mission service with his wife, Carol, in July 2002. They served for three years as facilitators for evangelism among unreached people groups in Southeast Asia.
Paul has been involved in ministry in Southeast Asia since 1984, when he and Carol moved to Bangkok, Thailand, with their 18-month-old daughter to begin Thai language study with the Overseas Missionary Fellowship. They have worked in South Thailand, East Malaysia and Penang, Malaysia, where Carol served as principal of Dalat School.
Paul holds an M.Div. from Bethel Seminary and a B.S. degree in agricultural education from the University of Minnesota. He is a member of West Lake Hills Presbyterian Church in Austin Texas. On November 20, 2011, he was ordained by Mission Presbytery as a teaching elder to specialized ministry in the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) through his service as a mission co-worker.
Paul and Carol are the parents of three children, Hannah, Jessica and Joshua.
