A letter from Bill Yoder in Thailand

January 2002

Dear Friends:

Of late years I have been returning to the United States every two years for a three month home assignment. With my current responsibilities in Thailand it is impossible for me to stay away longer than three months at one time, hence the more frequent but shorter trips.

Three months is not a very long time to be in the United States, especially since there are so many friends and churches to visit. I am writing this letter to the churches I am associated with, many over a very long period of time, and who may wish for a visit while I’m in the States. If you would like me to visit your congregation, you need to make contact as soon as possible with my sister and brother-in-law. The available time slots will be filled in a matter of days after this letter reaches America. I hope no one thinks I’m boasting about this. It’s just a matter of fact. Some churches have already been promised a visit since I was last in the States in 2000.

I will be in the United States July, August and September 2002. I plan to enter through the West Coast and will try to spend some time at the beginning in the California-Arizona area. I should be at home in Chicago and/or Ohio after July 15.

If you would like a visit, please contact my sister and brother-in-law and they will try to set something up for you. The contact information is:

Mr. and Mrs. Harry M. Peterson, Jr. (Top and Jane)
1005 Bonnie Brae, 2E
River Forest, Illinois 60305
Phone and fax: 708-209-1739

The Petersons will be spending the month of April on holiday in Italy; so reaching them during that time will not be possible.

I sincerely wish I had the time to visit all of you and I look forward to visiting all with whom I will have the opportunity. Until then, may God continue to bless you as we proceed with Him through the year 2002.

Sincerely yours,

William J. Yoder
