Christian Huisman
My name is Christian Huisman. I am 22 and live in/am from Little Rock, AR. I am a common "twenty something" in that I love all types of music, being outdoors (living in the natural state helps that) and watching/playing any type of sport. For the last year of my life, I worked at Second Presbyterian Church in Little Rock. I had the wonderful opportunity of working with the youth group there, which set up this upcoming year for me perfectly. I got to learn about my faith, while helping teens learn about theirs.
I was told from a very early age (like most children get told from their parents/grandparents) that I could do anything I wanted in life. Anything that I set my mind to, I could accomplish. A little later on in life, I learned that making other people happy is what made me happy. Around that time is when the Young Adult Volunteer program came into the vision of my life. I am ecstatic to be able to take one year of my life and dedicate it to the community that will surround me.
