Give and invest
Whether gifts or investments, your dollars can help strengthen Fair Trade and develop farmer and artisan groups around the world.
Support Enough for Everyone and the Presbyterian Hunger Program’s Fair Trade and lifestyle integrity work by giving to a designated account: ECO #E051439. Give now.
Support producer groups and PC(USA) programs through the One Great Hour of Sharing. Give to OGHS or Promote OGHS in your congregation or presbytery.
Did you know? Presbyterians’ gifts to the One Great Hour of Sharing Offering are already at work supporting Fair Trade. OGHS funds are provided as grants to Fair Trade producer and education groups in the US and around the world. Gifts to OGHS also help fund PC(USA) Fair Trade programs such as this website and Enough for Everyone projects.
Support small-scale farming cooperatives through the Small Farmer Fund, administered by the Presbyterian Hunger Program. Give now.
Fair Trade cooperatives and self-help groups depend on the availability of affordable credit such as microfinance loans. Investing in micro-finance is yet another way that you, your family and your congregation can support Fair Trade.
The Presbyterian Church (USA) is the largest denominational investor in Oikocredit, an ecumenical micro-finance organization that provides low-interest loans to cooperatives and self-help groups all over the world working to lift themselves out of poverty. To date investments by more than 70 Presbyterian congregations have funded more than $5 million worth of microfinance and economic development projects through Oikocredit. The largest congregational investment to date is $500,000, by East Liberty Presbyterian Church in Pittsburgh, PA.
The PC(USA) encourages individuals and congregations to consider investing in Oikocredit.
