Reflect on Christian-Muslim relations

This collection of photos comes with an invitation to you and your congregation or small group to reflect on a stranger in the context of Christian-Muslim relationships.

One way you might do this is to print a photo, in color if you can, and on the back of the photo, affix a label with suggested questions for reflection. Give one photograph to each person in your group, and ask them to imagine a conversation with the person in the picture, using the suggested questions. Then, if you wish, ask people to talk with one another about the kind of conversations they imagined. What are the questions they want to ask of Muslim men and women like these, and what are the questions that they think the Muslims would ask them?

Suggested questions for reflection

Print this text on the back of the photo or provide it when sharing the photo:

I don't know this person, but I wish I did. When I see this stranger's photo it is good to take time to think about how we are linked together as part of God's creation. If I were to have a conversation with this person, what would I say? What would this person say to me? What would I like to know about this stranger? What would the stranger like to know about me?
