Life Project for Rural Cambodians

This project is organized by members of Eliot Church and Cambodian community in the Greater Lowell area. The project focuses on empowering poor and disadvantaged children and families, helping them gain access to education, health care, and clean water. The Life Project provides school supplies, mobile medical clinics, and water wells in rural villages in Cambodia. The Session of Eliot gave its approval to this project in February 2013

Educational Ministry
Life Project supports education all children no matter their age faith background. In 2013 along with educational materials, we were able for the first time to provide school uniforms for over 250 children. We also partially supported 17 University and Vocational students.

Mobile Medical Ministry

In November 2013, we received financial support from not only the Greater Lowell area but all across North America, and New Zealand. With this support, we provided five water wells and five mobile medical clinics in five different remote areas. These medical clinics, served about 2,700 people.

Vision:

Many poor and disadvantage Cambodians living in rural villages are deprived of clean water, lack access to basic health care, and have no educational opportunity. They are unable to live productive lives with dignity. They are strong, resilient, and have the desire to live in prosperity and joy.

Mission:
The Life Project aims to work with local community leaders, and government and humanitarian organizations, using mobile medical clinics, promoting clean water, and funding the cost of education for rural poor children. These three aspects of the project (health, water, education) are essential for human life, prosperity, and happiness

More information about mobile medical clinics can be found on the Eliot Church website, www.eliotlowell.org
