A letter from Jay and Nancy Adams in Germany

August 2012

Dear Friends,

Has the Lord’s Prayer ever been improved upon?

The majesty of The Lord’s Prayer washes over our soul like a powerful wave pulling us deeper and deeper under the surface to a more intimate relationship with the Lord. How refreshing it is to pause and hear Jesus say, “When you pray, say ‘Father, hallowed be Thy Name...’” as we’re invited to share in the opportunity to lay our hearts open in a most complete and totally penetrating way.

We meet new students and staff at Black Forest Academy (BFA) this week. It’s always exciting to meet the parents of BFA students and learn how the Lord is at work in 50 different countries around the world. Please pray for the 351 students (73 new students) as we help them transition to BFA 2012-2013. Meet new students at BFA at www.bfacademy.com.

Nancy taught mostly grade 12 students last year and many have already begun college. Praise the Lord for these vibrant young people who love the Lord. Join us in praying for their transition as well.

Jay launched Homes for the Homeless by recruiting 21 students and staff to build a home for orphans in Romania at Easter in partnership with Habitat for Humanity. See pictures of the students building the home from foundation to roof tiles at http://homesforthehomelessinromania.blogspot.com/2012_04_01_archive.html.

Jay also led a new effort to reach out to local German teenagers by recruiting BFA staff and BFA students to host an English Language Camp during in 2012…and the door is opening to increase the number of local German students in attendance at BFA.

Jay continues efforts to build relationships between BFA and the local German community of Kandern, as well as with expatriates in the community of Basel. One of the goals is to increase school revenues to enable reduced tuition fees for the missionary kids who attend BFA (80 percent student body are MKs).

Both Jay and Nancy have found ways to help BFA staff in their transitions to and from the BFA community and Jay continues to help others with coaching to help them raise funds for ministry to missionary kids.

A German pastor invited Jay to participate in a local worship service held especially for teenagers from BFA and the local German high school.

We request prayer for Nancy as she’s been invited to visit Durham University in England to explore the potential for continuing education and ministry among fellow graduate students.

Praise the Lord for the birth of Juliette Elizabeth Walker to our daughter Katie and John Walker in Seattle. Their son Luca continues to grow stronger and adapt to the challenges of his special needs. We now have six grandchildren! Pray for Molly, Anne, Owen, Luca, Juliette and Sophia. (Hundreds of pictures available upon your request.)

We cherish your friendship and fellowship in the Lord as we walk by faith into our 21st year of ministry together with you as our ministry partners. Thank you for standing with us in prayer and financial support for this effort in global evangelism. “Seek first His Kingdom and His righteousness…” (Matt 6:33).

Write us anytime using the email link below or Neumatt 8, Kandern, Germany 79400.

Sincerely in Christ,

Jay & Nancy Adams
