I am from Clemmons, North Carolina and a 2014 graduate of UNC-Chapel Hill with a degree in psychology. I lived with my younger sister, parents, and dog growing up, and still enjoy spending time with them. I grew up in the Presbyterian Church and my first church family played a large role in my early faith development. I learned about the YAV program through various ways in the Presbyterian world, and decided to apply to the program at the beginning of my senior year of college. I love to sing and play guitar, and have also been interested in pursuing a career in music therapy. In my spare time, I enjoy knitting, singing, watching movies, and listening to music. I was called to serve in Nashville with the YAV program, and is excited to start the journey!

The Young Adult Volunteer program is a year-long service program for young adults between ages 19 and 30. Read more about the YAV program here
