  • Israeli Settlement Products Boycott is an effort called for by the 2012 General Assembly.  These products help to sustain the ever-expanding illegal Israeli settlements in the West Bank and East Jerusalem, which have dispossessed Palestinians of their homes, agricultural lands and water resources, and have disrupted the ability of Palestinians to move freely and develop a viable economy.  The settlements are identified as a major roadblock to a just and lasting peace for Israelis and Palestinians based on the two-state solution.

  • The Red Hand Campaign seeks to end the use of children as soldiers. This international campaign asks United Nations member states to ratify the Optional Protocol to the Convention on the Rights of the Child on the involvement of children in armed conflict. Presbyterians have participated in the Red Hand Campaign since 2009, sending over 9,000 red hands to Permanent Missions of United Nations member states  that have not ratified the protocol. In that time, 27 member states have ratified. The campaign continues as 40 member states have yet to ratify the protocol. For more details

  • The Trade Reform Campaign is a wide-ranging effort by Presbyterians to open up the now closed trade negotiation process so that citizen input overrides that of corporations, which now have access to negotiators in ways that ordinary voters do not. The campaign’s focus is to institute transparency as a norm in agreements, among them the Trans-Pacific Partnership Agreement, the largest free trade agreement negotiated by the United States to date.  Negotiations around the Trans-Pacific Partnership are scheduled to conclude this fall.  For more details
