Emily Stevens
Hi my name is Emily Stevens and I will be serving the 2015-16 year in Asheville, North Carolina!
I am a member of Third Presbyterian Church in Rochester, NY. I also am about to be a recent graduate of the College of Wooster in Wooster, Ohio. My four years at this school have been fulfilling and have left me inspired to make change in the world. I will be graduating with a Bachelor's of Arts, with a major in Religious Studies and a minor in Environmental Studies.
While at General Assembly last summer, serving as the YAAD for the Presbytery of Genesee Valley, I heard of various YAV's experiences and was intrigued immediately. I have a passion for social work and thought that this was the perfect opportunity to not only serve others in need, but also learn and grow with the other YAV's at my site as we take on this transitional phase in our lives.
