Hello! I couldn't be more thrilled to be a part of the Little Rock YAV 2015-'16 team! Though my family is spread out across three continents, I call Beaufort, South Carolina home. I graduated from Davidson College in North Carolina, where I studied sociology and religion. During the 2014-'15 year, I lived in Washington DC with the Young Adult Volunteers, where they lovingly called me an "honorary YAV." I love hiking, yoga, lifting weights, camping, and anything that allows me to be outside exploring creation. I also love reading; I frequently find myself attempting to read three books at once.

Though I didn't grow up attending church, I now have two church communities I call home: Church of the Pilgrims (where I worked for the 2014-'15 year) and Davidson College Presbyterian Church in North Carolina. During my year at Pilgrims, I planned and led worship, worked in the Pilgrimage (a service-learning hostel in the basement of the church), gardened, marched, ate with people experiencing homelessness, and fell in love with alternative liturgy. I learned the importance of storytelling and explored how to live into my call to be present with suffering communities.  After my YAV year, I hope to attend seminary and become ordained. I'm thrilled to be called as a witness to how God is moving in Little Rock.
