Hi! My name is Hillary Leslie and I grew up in New Wilmington, Pennsylvania.  In high school I began living a Christ-centered life when a friend invited me to youth group at the New Wilmington Presbyterian Church, where only a few weeks later I had already signed up for my first mission trip to New Orleans, LA!  It was during this experience when I saw God’s love working in a tangible and impactful way, instilling my desire to travel, developing my heart for service and shaping my worldview of what it means to be a Christian.

Before graduating from Westminster College in 2014 with a BA in English Literature, I spent two semesters studying in Stirling, Scotland and two summers working at Ligonier Camp and Conference Center. Seeking a career that would combine all of my passions into one, I was reminded of the YAV program at church a few weeks after returning home and immediately began the process to spend my next year serving God.

I’m beyond excited to be living as a YAV in Belfast, Northern Ireland!  God has been continually calling me across the pond to the UK and I look forward to the people, places and conversations that will stretch and challenge me. While I feel energized and equipped to share God’s love and compassion in this region of the world, I’m anticipating that He will further humble me through this international experience.

Cheers to my amazing friends, family and the New Wilmington Presbyterian Church that encouraged me to apply and continue to bless me with support and prayer!
