Hi! My name is Linda Kofler and I recently graduated from the UNC-Asheville, in the beautiful mountains of North Carolina. I studied Heath and Wellness promotion (physiology, nutrition, anatomy..etc) with a minor in classical piano performance. I've been active my entire life, and can be found mountain biking, running obstacle races, hiking, tree-climbing, and playing ping-pong in my free time. My love for movement and health drew me to study the amazing human body God created. I mean... how can you not praise God when you think about how intricately and beautifully we were designed?

I've been very blessed to see a lot of God in the people I work with as a group fitness instructor. My main goal is encouraging people to lead healthier, happier lives, and it's very uplifting to hear feedback from clients who say that exercising completely changed their life. One of the classes I teach is older adult strength training, (70+) and I love working with seniors because they show me a lot about what strong determination and unhindered love looks like.

I'm convinced God is in the midst of the marginalized, and along with senior adults, I've had the pleasure of working with the homeless at Haywood Street congregation. Every Wednesday I help serve a five-star meal (silverware, white tablecloth, catered food from local restaurants) to the community, and we're blessed with the presence of the homeless and their canine companions. This is my favorite part of the week, and through listening, hugging, sharing a meal with, and praying with this community, I've learned more about Jesus amidst these beautiful people than I have in any other place. God also led me to NYC as an intern with a new Church plant in Queens, where I learned the value of honest community, and the power of friendship, especially with homeless strangers. I'm very passionate about this people group and am more than excited to work with Saenaru Community Center, which works with the homeless and low-income families in Daejeon, South Korea.
God has blessed me richly and has led me on many adventures - I'm looking forward to my next adventure : being a YAV in South Korea!
