Hi! I am Megan Nibert and I am very excited to start this new chapter in my life. I grew up in La Porte, Indiana and began attending The Presbyterian Church of La Porte in elementary school. I became much more involved in my church when I joined the youth group. I also became involved in the First United Methodist Youth group when I reached high school.

I went to Manchester University and got my Bachelors of Science in Sociology in May 2015. While on campus, I worked for the Auditorium as a Tech. Assistant. I was a pole vaulter on the track team. I was also involved in a church in town where I attended services and a weekly young adult bible study. Over the summers, I have worked at the First United Methodist Church as a Youth Director Intern. Which is where I learned that I love working with youth and in the church.

I am looking forward to my year as a YAV to learn and grow in my faith while getting the opportunity to serve others and learn about other faith traditions.
