Hi, my name is Rowena Zuercher. I grew up in Apple Creek, Ohio in the heart of beautiful Amish Country with my younger sister and my parents. I'm a member of Sonnenberg Mennonite Church and I'm so grateful to my wonderful church and family for the support they have given me my entire life.

My hobbies include writing, reading almost any book I can get my hands on, and having movie nights with my friends. I love studying languages, tutoring elementary school students, singing and listening to basically any type of music and I play a strange variety of instruments, including the oboe and bassoon.

The past four summers I've worked at a summer enrichment camp for inner city students. It sparked a passion in me for social justice and education and a calling to pursue both. My parents have always told me that it's important to leave home for a while and see the world through different lenses than my home community. I felt God calling me to a year of service before going to college. And I guess leaving my home community for a little while meant moving across the country!

After my year in Hollywood, I'm planning on attending Bluffton University to major in Social Work and minor in TESOL.

I'm excited to see what God has planned for me in Hollywood and how He will work in my life and in the lives of all the people I will be blessed to meet along the way!
